Imperial War Museum in London free entry
60Imperial War Museum London
This museum is perfect for low budget visitors because there is no admission fee. But I think anyone should go and see what is all about, you can find how history was made and the key points in the history of first, second world war, and the main conflicts after 1945 that have change the world in what is today.
The Imperial War Museum was founded in 1917 to ensure the future generations have a better understanding of the past. The building that accommodates the museum was completed in 1815 and it was a part of Bethlem Royal Hospital. All the museum is very impressive, but my favourite was the Trench and Blitz Experiences. The main exhibitions are The Origins and Outbreaks of the First World War, The Second World War, Conflicts after 1945, Children’s War and a House from 1940`s and one of the most terrible thinks that history has gave us The Holocaust Exhibition.
Beside the lesson’s of history that you can learn, you can see military weapons like tank’s, gun every piece with his one history, you will find a replica of the Little Boy, the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima. As you would expect you would find naval weapons as well , like one man or to man submarines, or you can even past thru a section of a bigger submarine to see how the crew was living.
It will be vary strange at least it was for me, when you pass thru the house from the 1940’s you will feel like you went back in the past, I hope some of you will visit and I would love if you would leave your comments of what you liked or didn’t liked about Imperial War Museum.
